Two women, Alesha from Sial Colony and Mehak Panhwar from Mir Achan village, staged separate protests outside the local press club against domestic violence by their husbands.

Speaking to journalists, Mehak Panhwar alleged that her husband, Zaheer Panhwar, a resident of Khos Ghar, has been subjecting her to severe abuse. Holding her two-year-old daughter, she stated that when she approached the Women Police Station to file a complaint, the SHO refused to take her case seriously, failing to offer protection or justice. She urged SSP Mirpurkhas, women’s rights organizations, and higher authorities to intervene immediately.
