Women entrepreneurs to take part in India, Bangladesh expos

MULTAN: Women entrepreneurs of Multan will take part in the trade exhibitions in India and Bangladesh to introduce the skill of women of this zone, said Begum Kausar Sheikh, chairperson of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI)’s women entrepreneurs sub-committee while providing information to the member.

She said Multani women had already represented the Multan chamber in Indian trade fairs and introduced Pakistani goods. This fair has become primary sourcing point for a large number of businesses world-wide. Kausar Sheikh said Indian buyers took interest in Pakistani handcrafts, hand stitched garments, textile items, bed-wear etc and the success of last event was manifested by participation of large number of Indian buyers who settled business deals. They booked their orders for the supply of Pakistani products.

She said Pakistan show was being organised in Amritsar from May 8 to 12, while trade exhibitions would be held in Bangladesh from June 8 to 22, and June 26 to 30. She said the platform of Expo Pakistan provides opportunity to showcase the largest collection of country’s Export Merchandise and Services. The meeting was joined by Rabia Shehzad, Shazamana, Farrukh Khawaja and others.
