Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheed uddin has said that government is implementing a comprehensive programme for the economic empowerment of women. She was addressing a function in connection with free distribution of 204 cattle among rural women under Chief Minister’s programme for the welfare of poor women at District Jinnah Public School Mandi Bahauddin.
MNA Nasir Iqbal Bosal, Additional Secretary Livestock Ashiq Husain, District Co-ordination Officer Zafar Khan Sayal and other notables were also present on the occasion. Hameeda said that cattle are being distributed free of charge among rural women under the second phase of balloting. She said that under this programme, 450 buffaloes and cows and 850 goats and sheep will be distributed in Mandi Bahauddin while in the second phase another 224 buffaloes and cows will be given.
