MANSEHRA: The wife of an assistant professor of the Hazara University was gunned down at her residence in the posh locality of the city on Tuesday.
The incident happened at about 10am when unidentified armed men barged into the house of Mohammad Zahid at Ghazikot Township and shot injured his wife.
The victim, who was also a lecturer at the Kohat University of Science and Technology, sustained multiple bullet injuries and died on the way to hospital.
Her body was handed over to family after postmortem at the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital.Registering a case with the police, Mohammad Zahid, who belongs to Urmar village in Peshawar, stated that he was at the university when he received a call at about 10am that his wife had been shot. He said he rushed to the home to take his wife to hospital, but she died on the way to hospital.
