LAHORE: A man gunned down the wife of his elder brother and her teen daughter for ‘honour’ in the Chuhng police area on Wednesday. The killer has been arrested and is being grilled, police investigators said.
The family told the police that Muhammad Yousaf took out pistol and opened straight fire on Allah Rakhi, 35, and Mafia Bibi, 18, at their house in the Fazlan Punj Graen Mohalla in the limits of Chuhng police. The woman and her daughter died on the spot. The police have removed the bodies to the morgue for autopsy.
Manzoor Ahmed, brother of the killer, told the police that Yousaf exchanged harsh words with his wife and daughter for coming back home late night. He got infuriated during the verbal clash and opened fire on the women.
The police have registered a double-murder case against the accused on the complaint of Manzoor Ahmed and are investigating.
