ISLAMABAD: A man allegedly slaughtered his wife and fled the crime scene, police said on Thursday.
According to detail, Shazia Begum, resident of House No 451, G-7/3, was found killed on Thursday afternoon. The police quoting deceased’s son from her first husband, Jabran Ali, said that Rab Nawaz, deceased’s husband, came home at around 01:00pm. According to police, Jabran left the home at 04:00pm and came back home at 05:00pm and found her mother lying in the pool of blood.
“I left home at 04:00pm leaving my mother and stepfather at home. I found my mother lying in the pool of blood soon after I returned back to home at 05:00pm,” Jabran told police, adding that her throat was cut by a sharp edge blade.
Police registered the case and started investigation.
