Karachi: A young woman was shot dead and her husband wounded when her father and uncle allegedly opened fire on them in the Baldia Town police limits on Saturday.
Amra Bibi, 25, was killed and her husband, Ali Rehman, sustained wounds when her father, Abdul Haseeb Brohi, along with her uncle, Khadim Brohi, came over to her residence in Madina Colony in the Baldia Town police jurisdiction, and after an argument they opened fire on them and fled.
After hearing the gunshots, some neighbours informed the police, who took the dead and the injured to the Civil Hospital.
Police said that the couple fell in love, ran away from home and got married in court. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
Meanwhile, the decomposed and bullet-riddled body of a 35-year-old unidentified man was found near Ghazi Town in the Shah Lateef Town police limits.
