SUKKUR: A woman was shot dead in Mithal Jamali village within the limits of the Jamalpur police station of Shikarpur district on Saturday.

The police believed that the victim, Naumina Bano, was killed by her close relative, Wahid Bakhsh Jamali, in the name of honour as they had some matrimonial issues.

Shikarpur SSP Dr Mohammad Imran Khan asked the DSP concerned to ensure arrest of the suspected killer.

A team led by the Jamalpur SHO cordoned off the area and mounted a search for the suspect.
