LAHORE: A woman, Zainab (21) was allegedly shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Thursday.

According to initial police reports, two motorcyclists intercepted Zainab, exchanged words with her and then opened fire. Zainab sustained critical bullet wounds and died instantly. The suspects fled the scene.

The police shifted the body to the city morgue for a postmortem examination.

Regarding the identity of the killers and the motive behind the murder, the police official stated that the family was uncertain.

Police teams are currently working on accessing nearby CCTV cameras to gather information that can lead to the identification of the suspects.
