CHARSADDA: A woman was killed and her alleged lover sustained injuries in an attack near Mirabad Bridge in the limits of Umarzai Police Station on Sunday, sources said.The sources said the woman had left her home three days ago and went to the house of her alleged lover, Hazrat Wali, which angered her parents.
After making patch-up, the woman along with her lover was on the way to her parents’ home when her brothers Muhammad Ayub, Imran and Adil allegedly opened fire on them, they added. She died on the spot and the man sustained injuries. He was shifted to a hospital in Peshawar where his condition was stated to be critical.The police registered the case against the accused and started an investigation.
