VEHARI – A woman was kidnapped and gang-raped allegedly by five people for 37 days in Mauza Gulhari, Mailsi.
The victim told newsmen on October 26, that she was married to Ghulam Siknadar some three years back. She alleged that her husband was an addict and always quarreled with her on petty issues. She left his house and started living with her father, Haji Allah Yar, in Mauza Gulhari and filed a divorce case in a local court.
She alleged that one night her husband along with four accomplices namely Ashiq, Yousuf, Imam Bukhsh and Jafar came to his father’s house and took her away to a house in Mauza Kikry where they gang-raped her for 37 days.
She said one day in the absence of kidnappers, a woman helped her escape.
Mailsi Saddar police registered a case against the accused, but had not arrested any accused till the filing of this report.
