A woman who had been tied with chains for the past month allegedly tortured by her husband was rescued by police in Landhi on Saturday, and her husband was arrested.

Police said the suspect had allegedly kept his wife locked up at their residence where he used to torture her and also shaved her head. The woman was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

Police said the couple had been married for eight years and had two daughters. The suspect already sent his daughters to some family member’s house.
