A woman was shot dead by her son at their residence in New Muzaffarabad Colony on Tuesday, said the Quaidabad police.
The 45-year-old woman, who was identified as Rabia Bahadur, was wounded in an incident of firing at her house.
She was taken to the JPMC, but she succumbed to her injuries on the way. Police suspect that the victim’s son, Raaz Muhammad, had shot his mother over a dispute and fled the scene.
They said they were trying to ascertain the motive behind the killing, adding that other family members were not cooperating with the law enforcers.
