Woman gives birth to sextuplets in Bannu

BANNU: A woman from North Waziristan gave birth to six babies at a hospital in Bannu district on Friday.

Reports say the woman from Datta Khel area of North Waziristan gave birth to four male and two female babies at a private clinic in Bannu.

Doctors said the sextuplets and the mother were healthy and in a stable condition.

According to the doctors, the mother and newly-born children were normal and healthy; however they were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Bannu for further care and observation.

Earlier on January 22, a woman gave birth to quadruplets in Tibba Murtaza Shah area of Punjab’s Bhakkar district. Last year on October 24, another woman gave birth to quintuplets at Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar. Sabira, 35, belonged to Malakand district.
