Woman gang-raped, strangled

Karachi: The body of a young woman who gang-raped and then strangled to death was found in her residence in the New Karachi Industrial Area police limits on Wednesday.

When Afzal, the husband of 25-year-old Rizwana Khatoon, returned home in Sector C-5/F in the evening he found his wife dead.

He informed police, who carried the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post-mortem. The hospital has reserved a viscera sample for a chemical examination. According to police, the woman was alone at home when she was sexually assaulted and murdered.
