KARACHI, February 27, 2005 Ishrat, a resident of Federal B Area Block 16 and mother of three teen-aged children, has asked the law enforcing agencies for protection from Liaquat Parwana, her former husband, who is threatening her of dire consequences.In a statement she said that she has been receiving continuous threats from him and because of these threats she was leaving her house along with her three children to an undisclosed place.

She requested that the government should apprehend her former husband to provide her a sense of security. Meanwhile, Hafeez Butt, the brother of Ishrat, has also lodged a complaint against Liaquat Parwana in Juharabad police station to save his sister’s life.
