A 38-year-old mother of four was reportedly raped by her brother-in-law, according to an FIR (No. 359/2008) filed under Section 376 of the PPC at the Sohrab Goth police Station.
Fatima Bibi, a divorcee and a mother of four children, was alone at home, when her brother-in-law, Mohammad Akram came to her house at 6 pm. He raped her, and left the house. He returned again the next day at 10 pm and raped her again.
After the incident, Fatima went to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and had a medical examination carried out, after which police were informed.
The police at the Sohrab Goth Investigation Wing, including Investigating Officer in the case, Rafiq Ghouri, said that the victim had not returned after filing the FIR.
“I have been trying to contact her since then but she has not come to the station. She keeps saying she will return but she has not. We are still trying to reach her,” he said.
