KURIANWALA: A woman was raped at gunpoint and a minor boy was molested in the city while another minor foiled a sexual assault attempt by crying for help on Monday.

A complainant told police that his 26-year-old daughter-in-law was alone in the house when the suspect Shabbir Ahmed entered the house forcibly at gunpoint and raped her.

Ghulam Muhammadabad police registered a case against him under Section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

Meanwhile, a minor was molested in the city. Reportedly, the six-year-old boy was playing outside his house when suspect Zahid took him to a field on the pretext of showing him parrots and molested him.

Nishatabad police registered a case under Section 377 of PPC..
