MULTAN: A wedding party host invited a dancing girl to present her art in a marriage ceremony but the participants allegedly gang-raped her during the ceremony. The Muzaffargarh Civil Lines police registered a case against three accused in the incident, police said.
The wedding party hosts invited a resident of Mouza Latkaran, Muzaffargarh, to dance at the wedding party. The woman was dancing at the wedding party in the night when the participants raised a hue and cry about police raiding the place.
The participants took her to a place where three persons gang-raped her. Police established in the initial probe that the dancer was gang-raped and tortured.
After the incident, an accused identified as Ashraf and two unknown suspects were named in the complaint of the victim. The Muzaffargarh Civil Lines police have registered the case under FIR No 916/24 on the complaint of the victim and started raids to arrest the rest of the accused.
