NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A group of people attacked the houses of Hindus near Kandiaro on Monday and kidnapped two girls.
At least 50 people belonging to Khaskheli, Kalhoro and Chandio communities reached Marecha village near Hindun Ja Wasan in vehicles, injured eight people, including Koro Mal, Reshma, Siyani, Suchna, Jini Bai, Bhawar Lal and Mohan Lal and kidnapped Ms Pali 20, and Ms Moran Bai 18.
The injured were admitted to the taluka hospital Kandiaro where Koro Mal told journalists that one Abdul Malik Gabol, who earlier had married a woman belonging to Marecha community, was accused of kidnapping a woman, Ms Husna, from Khaskheli village near Bhirya Road on Sunday.
Koro Mal said that some members of Khaskheli community came to him on Monday morning and alleged that kidnapped Husna was hiding there and should be returned.
Mr Mal said that he assured the Khaskhelis that neither Abdul Malik Gabol nor Husna was hiding there.
Afterwards 50 persons reached the village, entered their houses, thrashed the villagers and kidnapped Ms Pali and Ms Moran.
