Karachi: A woman was stabbed to death by her husband in Pakhtunabad on Tuesday while another died at a hospital after being burned by her spouse a week ago.
Nadia Bibi, 25, the mother of two, was stabbed by Jannat Gul early in the morning over a domestic dispute.
The couple and their children had come to Karachi from Swat, and were living at the house of the victim’s brother, Manghopir police said. The man escaped after killing his wife.
Manghopir SHO Aslam Joya said the brother of the woman told the police that the couple had developed some differences, which led to the murder of Bibi.
Meanwhile, another victim of a domestic dispute died at the Civil hospital’s burns ward.
Shahzadi, 22, had been under treatment for a week after her husband had allegedly doused her in petrol and then torched her on June 3 in Surjani Town.
Doctors said Shahzadi, daughter of Rab Nawaz, was brought to the health facility with 54 percent burns.
