Two acid attackers get life term, fine

GUJRANWALA: Anti-Terrorism Court No 1 Judge Muhammad Imtiaz awarded on Saturday life term on two counts each along with a fine of Rs1.3 million collectively to two accused in as many acid attack cases.
According to the prosecution, Husnain of Daulatnager, Gujrat, threw acid on a class-IX girl ‘N’. The court awarded him life term on two counts with a fine of Rs1.1 million.
Similarly, Zaheer of Muradpur, Sialkot, sprinkled acid on his rival Shamas over an old enmity. The court awarded him life term on two counts along with Rs0.2 million fine.
Both convicts will have to undergo one-year additional imprisonment in case of default.
