Three killed for honour
QUETTA – Three people including a woman were killed in the name of honour in Mastung and Jaffarabad towns of Balochistan in two separate incidents on Wednesday.
In the first incident, unidentified people killed a woman and her alleged paramour in Mastung and escaped from the site after committing the crime.
Police moved the deceased to a hospital and termed the incident as honour killing. However, the names of victims could not be ascertained immediately. In the second incident, a person was killed in Jaffarabad.
Police said unidentified people opened indiscriminate fire on Hazar Khan and managed to flee from the scene. As a result, he received critical wounds and died instantly.
Police said according to initial reports it could be an incident of honour killing, however, investigations were underway to establish real cause of the killings.
Teacher killed: A schoolteacher was killed in Sariab, in the outskirts of Quetta on Wednesday.
According to police, Manzoor Ali Muhammad Hassani, a government schoolteacher, was passing from
Faizabad area of Sariab when unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate fire on him.
Resultantly, he sustained critical wounds and succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. The assailants escaped from the site after committing the crime. Police rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
The police said that motive behind the murder was tribal enmity.
After completing legal formalities, the police handed over the body to heirs and started further investigation.
