Three gypsy women commit suicide in Attock

ATTOCK – Three gypsy women committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills in Attock district yesterday.

As per sources, the women belonging to a gypsy family consumed poisonous pills to commit suicide because of some domestic problems.
All were shifted to Asfandyar Bokhari Hospital in precarious condition where Fauzia,15, daughter of Rafiq, Sana, 13, daughter of Amanat and Malkanim 40, wife of Saqlain died, they said, adding Sana,19, wife of Babar Ali, Nadia,12, daughter of Rafiq were shifted to the Benazir Hospital Rawalpindi in precarious condition.

Police said exact cause of their deaths could be ascertained after postmortem reports.

Police sources said that the matter is being investigated to know the reason behind the mass attempt of suicide.
The gypsies live in tents in Attock and their women normally are professional beggars.
