Teachers, PSO activists protest acid attack
QUETTA: All Government Teachers’ Association Quetta and Pashtunkhwa Students Organisation (PSO) held a protest demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club on Friday to condemn an acid attack on four female teachers.
Four female teachers were attacked with an acid outside their school in Killi Alam area of Alamo Chowk in Quetta last Saturday.
The protesters were carrying placards and banners in their hands in support of their demands. They chanted full-throated slogans against the government and law-enforcement agencies for their failure to protect lives of people. Addressing the protesters, Government Teachers’ Associations (GTA) members Fahmida Gul and Zhereen termed the incident an unpardonable crime, and added it was the responsibility of the government to take all necessary steps to bring the culprits to justice.
