Woman shot dead in Gujar Khan

GUJAR KHAN: A woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband’s nephew in Sapyali Bangial area in the jurisdiction of Gujar Khan police station.

According to the details, Rizwana Bibi, 50, had second marriage and the nephew of his second husband had some dispute with her.

Gujar Khan SHO Zaheer Butt reached the spot and shifted the body to hospital.

He said that the murderer managed to escape. A case has been registered against him on the complaint of deceased’s husband.

Woman killed by ‘in-laws’

LAHORE: A 35-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death with a sharp-edged weapon in Defence-C police station area by her father-in-law and brother-in-law on Wednesday. Victim Rabia, a resident of Mingora, Swat, had been living with her husband and in-laws. On the day of the incident, she exchanged a few harsh words with her in-laws, on which, her father-in-law Malook and brother-in-law Syed Malook attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon. The victim suffered severe injuries and died. Police removed the body to morgue. Police said that the motive behind the murder would be ascertained after further investigations.

Woman tortured to death by in-laws

LAHORE: A 21-year old woman was tortured to death allegedly by her in-laws in the Nishtar Colony police limits Tuesday. The victim identified as Iram was married to Zeeshan two years back. On the day of the incident, she was found dead in her room. Her family alleged that she was tortured to death by her in-laws using sharp-edged weapons and clubs. The victim’s family alleged that Zeeshan used to subject her to torture.

Married woman shot dead

TAXILA: A woman was shot dead allegedly by her brother-in-law over a domestic dispute in the limits of Wah Cantonment police on Tuesday.

Mohammad Ishfaq while lodging the first investigation report (FIR) stated that his daughter Saniya Bibi was married a few months ago but her in-laws subjected her to torture. He said he along with his wife Yasmeen Bibi and brother-in-law Kafeel Ahmed went to his daughter’s house to settle the dispute when Adnan Shahbaz, her brother-in-law, shot his daughter dead on the spot and escaped.

Police registered a murder case against the man and handed over the body to the family for burial after an autopsy at the THQ Hospital Taxila.

Man, sister shot dead over family dispute

BADIN: Two brothers were booked and one of them arrested on Sunday following murder of a man and woman apparently over a family dispute in Ghulam Hussain Chang village near near Tando Ghulam Ali late on Saturday night.

Area police said that the suspects, Sher Khan Chang and Juman Chang visited the in-laws of Sher Khan in the village. Sher Khan engaged in a heated argument with his father-in-law, Nathoo Chang, over the in-laws’ denial to allow his (Sher Khan’s) daughter, Ms Mourzadi to go to her parents’ house on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.

The police said that during the heated argument, the suspects shot dead Nathoo Chang, 55, and his sister, Ms Amirzadi, 40.

Nathoo Chang’s son, Dodo Chang, lodged an FIR at the Tando Ghulam Ali police station against the two suspects following which Juman Chang was arrested. The police were on a hunt for Sher Khan who was at large.
