KARACHI: A suspect who had allegedly raped a six-year-old girl has been given in police custody till December 12. The suspect, Ayaz Khan, was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate (West) Afzal Roshan on Thursday and remanded in police custody till December 12 for further interrogation and a medical examination to be conducted as ordered by the judge.

Sadaqat Shah, the father of the girl, had lodged a complaint at the Mochko police station that his daughter had been raped by his neighbour on the afternoon of December 6. Khan was arrested the next day and was produced in the court for remand.
