LARKANA: Police on Thursday booked six suspects who had allegedly kidnapped a teenage boy a week before and kept assaulting him sexually during captivity in Rizwan Colony in the jurisdiction of Allahabad police station.
The victim`s brother Ghulam Haidar Chandio lodged an FIR under Sections 377, 364 and 337 PPC , accusing Mir Murtaza Mugheri, Zulfikar aka Fauji, Ali Nawaz aka Shette, Murtaza Shabrani, Azam Chandio and Bhuro Chandio of kidnapping his younger brother when he was standing outside his house on Aug 22 and taking him away on motorcycle.
They kept him at an undisclosed place and kept subjecting him to sexual assault after giving him sleeping pills and injections, he said.
The boy returned home on Aug 28 and narrated his ordeal to the family who conveyed it to SSP Shabbir Ahmed Sethar.
The SSP directed police to register the FIR and arrest the suspects.
Police referred the victim to Chandka Medical College Hospital for examination and picked up nominated suspects Mir Murtaza Mugheri and Bhuro Chandio after raids on their residences and while the others were still at large.
In another case, police raided a place in Chak area in Shikarpur district on Thursday after receiving a tip-off and recovered Musawwiar Durrani who had gone missing on Aug 14.
SSP Shabbir Ahmed said that police had arrested 11 suspects. The boy had gone with his friends but they detained him and switched off his mobile phone, he said.
