KHAIRPUR: Ahmedpur police arrested their former SHO Shah Zaman Dahar and police constable Gul Bahar Panhwar on Monday in the Tasleem Solangi murder case.

They were produced in a court which sent them to the central jail of Khairpur.

Reports said the former SHO was accused of misplacing some articles during an inquiry into the Tasleem Solangi murder case, which could prove as to whether dogs had been unleashed at Tasleem Solangi before her murder or not.

Police sources told Dawn that further inquiries were in progress into the case.

On the Supreme Court directives, the Sindh IGP has constituted a committee led by Sukkur RPO Mohammad Ramzan Channa, with AIG Crime Abdul Khaliq Shaikh and the SSP investigation as members, to again investigate the Tasleem Solangi murder case.
