Sakina to be shifted to Karachi

Acid-throwing case

KARACHI: A young girl named Sakina Solangi, who received serious burn injuries after acid was thrown at her, was to be shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi Tuesday.

She received severe burn injuries on 45 percent of her body, including an ear, after a man she had refused to marry threw acid at her. Sakina hailsfrom Bhiria City (Naushero Feroz district). She was rushed to Nawabshah, and was admitted to the Nawabshah Medical College Hospital, where her condition was said to be critical.

However, when Daily Times checked up at the CHK Burns Ward on Tuesday evening, Sakina had not arrived yet. Doctors on duty said that she was probably en route to the hospital as it takes six to eight hours to travel from Nawabshah to Karachi. staff report
