Rs76m approved for girls’ schools

GUJRAT: The Punjab government has approved Rs76 million for the provision of missing facilities at the girls schools of the district as about 74 such schemes have been launched in its various parts.

This was revealed by Gujrat Executive District Officer Finance and Planning Chaudhry Muhammad Asghar during a briefing in district development committee meeting, chaired by the PML N MPA Malik Haneef Awan.

He said the provincial government had already released Rs40 million from the total grant for providing missing facilities while 28 of such schemes had been completed.

He said another grant of Rs104 million had also been allocated for the upgrade of the government schools whereas the tehsil municipal administrations had been given Rs80.75 million for the uplift schemes.Gujrat DCO Asif Bilal Lodhi, PML-N MNAs Nawabzada Mazhar Ali, Abid Raza Kotla, Jaafar Iqbal Fatta Bhand and others were also present.
