‘PSP worker fell victim to honour killing’

KARACHI: Police on Monday claimed to have ‘solved’ the murder mystery of a Pak Sarzameen Party worker, found dead in a Landhi area on Sunday morning, saying they believed he was murdered over so-called honour.

The body of the victim, Tabish Taqi, 24, was found in a park in Landhi-2. His throat was slit.

The police said he was kidnapped, tortured and slaughtered somewhere else and later on his body was thrown at the spot where it was found.

According to Landhi SP Shaban Ali, a special team comprising officials of the operation and investigation wings got clues to the identity and motive of the killers and arrested three brothers — Hameed Khan, Naveed Khan and Waheed Khan.
