ISLAMABAD: The UNHCR spokesperson in Pakistan Duniya Aslam Khan said that there has been a marked decrease in the violation of women rights in the country during the recent days as compared to the past.
Talking to VOA on Saturday, the UNHCR spokesperson said that the pro-women bill passed by parliament will help in protecting women rights adding that the cruel customs like Karo Kari would also be discouraged.
She said that women have the same rights as that of males, but these rights have not been given and always ignored.
