Policewoman cop shot dead in Swat

MINGORA: A woman cop was shot dead and her minor son sustained injuries when her uncle allegedly opened fire on her in the Matta Tehsil in Swat on Monday, police sources said.They said the accused, Fazle Hadi, forced his entry into the house of her niece identified as Sadia, a woman constable, and allegedly opened fire on her, leaving her dead on the spot while her nine-year-old son, Waqas, was injured. The accused managed to escape after committing the crime. The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained. The police have registered the case and started investigation.
