Police solve woman’s blind murder case  

ISLAMABAD – The investigators of Police Station (PS) Sihala have solved the mystery of blind murder of a woman whose charred body was found from jungle area, informed a police spokesman. Police also arrested her husband for his involvement in the killing woman, he added. The deceased woman was identified as Tahira Yasmin (35) while killer husband as Muhammad Waris, he added. Police also obtained physical remand of accused from a court of law for further investigation, the spokesman said. According to him, police found body of an unknown woman on 10 December, 2021, from forest area near Expressway. The police registered a case no 593/21 u/s 320/34 PPC and started investigation.  The police took the fingerprints of the victim and dispatched to NADRA, wherein, she was identified as Tahira Yasmin, wife of Muhammad Waris. Following directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younus, SP Rural Zone Zia ud Din constituted special police team under supervision of DSP Abid Hussain headed by Sub-Inspector Zahid Hussain and other officials to trace and arrest the accused involved in the case. The police team with the help of modern technology traced and arrested the accused namely Muhammad Waris, husband of the victim. During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed that he had taken his wife to jungle and killed her adding that after killing, he burnt her body.
