LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will ensure protection for women rights after coming into power, said PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz.
Addressing women party workers from Bahawalpur during a meeting at the party’s central secretariat on Saturday, Maryam said that the PML-N would do an effective legislation to safeguard the rights of women.
She asked PML-N women workers to prepare for general elections and convey the message of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif to everyone.
PML-N Women’s Wing central chief organiser Nuzhat Amir appreciated the performance of party’s reorganisation drive in 31 provincial constituencies of the Bahawalpur division.
She asked women workers to extend the new party membership to union council level.
PML-N women leaders, including MNA Ishrat Jaafer, MNA Parveen Masood Bhatti, MNA Shirin Arshad, MPA Maiza Hameed, MPA Zeb Jaafer, MPA Shumaila Tariq and MPA Naseem Khawaja, attended the meeting.
