PM approves Rs 1m grant for Reshman

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Monday approved a Rs one million grant for medical treatment of ailing folk singer Reshman.
The decision has been made in line with the government’s policy to provide all possible assistance to the country’s artists. Reshman is a renowned Pakistani folk singer, who has attained substantial fame in India as well.
Reshman was born to a Pakkhiwas(gypsy) family in Rajasthan one year after independence.
