PATTOKI: Honour killing claimed another life in Kasur on Wednesday at village Neyakay in the suburb of Sadar police station.
Reportedly, one Muhammad Shafiq had developed illicit relations with Qaisra and went to see her at her house on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, Qaisra’s brother Amjad Masih caught them red-handed. Shafiq managed somehow to flee from the spot while Amjad allegedly strangulated his sister to death and escaped.
Sadar police have registered a case and started investigating.
In another incident, a shepherd boy was axed to death for unknown reason on the other day at village Bangla in the jurisdiction of Sadar police station.
According to police, Sajid went to the nearby meadow with his sheep but did not return till evening. Later, his dead body was found in a deserted house outside the village.
However, police suspect that Sajid was killed by his fellow shepherd Faisal and two unidentified accused who tried to snatch his sheep but axed him to death on resistance.
