KHANEWAL – Police claimed to have arrested the murderer of a 4-year-old minor girl.
According to details, a man turned out to be the killer of his 4-year-old minor niece Zeba in Basti Aziz Abad Khanewal.
Addressing a press conference, South Punjab Additional IG, Capt. Rtd Zafar said that accused Bin Yameen who was the paternal uncle of deceased strangled his niece Zeba by putting pillow on her mouth. Addl IG said that the killer had confessed to his crime before police that he killed his niece but did not rape her.
The motive behind the murder was an old enmity. The accused strangled his niece Zeba and stuffed the dead body in a sack, loaded it on a rickshaw and drove it to the fields. He threw the sack in the field. He was the first who reported to the police that the girl was missing.
After committing this heinous crime the accused participated in her search along with the girls’ family and with neighbors. He was also involved in a protest and did a fake attempt to commit suicide by laying on the train track of Sir Syed Express.
Different teams of Police were working on this case and one team arrested the accused with the help of the CCTV footage of a Nimko factory situated in industrial estate Khanewal, where the dead body was thrown.
It is pertinent to mention here that a four-year-old girl Zeba was found dead in a gunny sack from fields in Khanewal district of Punjab province yesterday allegedly after being subjected to sexual assault, five days after she went missing.
Zeba was the daughter of Nadeem, a resident of Basti Aziz Abad Khanewal.
