TOBA TEK SINGH: Kamalia Sadr police on Tuesday registered a case against a man and his four relatives for killing his married daughter for honour at Chak 710/GB. Farid contracted her daughter Rani Bibi’s marriage with Ramzan against her will. Later, she eloped with her paramour Abdul Ghaffar and contracted marriage with him. In the meantime, Rani returned to her father’s house through a Punchayat and Abdul Ghaffar divorced her on the demand of the Punchayat. Later, her parents again married her to another man Abid but Rani continued her relationship with her former husband Abdul Ghaffar. On the day of the incident, when she was present in her parents’ house, her father Farid, uncle Nawaz and their three relatives allegedly tortured her to death.
