LAHORE: A mother of six was shot dead by her brother for ‘honour’ in Shahdara, police said on Saturday. Police have arrested the killer and are investigating. The body was removed to the morgue for autopsy.
Investigators said that the resident of Walton Road, Razia Bibi, had been residing at her parents’ house for the last couple of weeks. Her husband died a year ago. On the day of incident, Rashid exchanged harsh words with his sister Razia as she refused to go back home. The man got infuriated and opened fire on his sister. Razia sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced as brought dead.
During preliminary investigations, the killer told the police that he murdered the mother of six because she had developed illicit relations with a man. The police have registered a case and further investigation was underway.
