KARACHI – The mother of an infant who was kidnapped soon after his birth the other day has threatened to commit suicide over the non-recovery of her child.
Shahid Ali, the father of the kidnapped baby, said Tuesday that police were taking no interest in the recovery of his infant son.

“I am keeping in touch with police at every moment but they seem indifferent to my problem” he alleged. Qarnar Jahan, mother of the missing baby, when contacted said, amid soul-harrowing cries, “I will not live without my baby and want his recovery at all costs otherwise 1 will commit suicide.”

On the other hand, concerned officials claimed that all-out efforts were being made to recover the baby.

The CPLC officials said they would provide the record of phone calls of the arrested within ten to fifteen days. Ahmed Chinoy, CPLC Chief, said that after getting information of the incident, he contacted concerned police officials and offered help to recover the baby. Meanwhile, the couple has sought early recovery of their baby.
