ISLAMABAD: Senator Mir Mohabbat Khan Marri was elected un-opposed as Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Postal Services, which met on Saturday to elect its Chairman as contemplated by Rule 163 (1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 1988.
Secretary Senate Raja Muhammad Amin conducted the election. Senator Marri’s name was proposed by Senator Fauzia Fakhruzzaman Khan and was seconded by Senator Sabir Ali Baloch. Leader of the House in the Senate Syed Nayyar Husain Bukhari was also present on the occasion. The members who attended the meeting included Senators Muhammad Kazim Khan, Sabir Ali Baloch, Mrs Fauzia Fakhruzzaman Khan, Maulana Gul Naseeb, and Hafiz Rashid Ahmad.
