KARACHI: A man on Friday threw acid on his wife and fled in Malir area.
According to reports, Aas Muhammad, a resident of Malir, threw acid on his wife, Irfana Bibi, aged about 28, and managed to flee, near Madina Colony in Khokarapar.
The victim was shifted to the burns ward of Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment. According to police, the accused had doubt on the character of his wife and he believed that his wife had illicit relations with some other men. Police registered a case against accused and also recorded the statement of Irfana. Police are conducting raids for capturing the accused. According to doctors, Irfana has more than 50 percent burns and his condition is critical.
