RAWALPINDI – A man stabbed his wife to death apparently over a domestic dispute in Mughal Colony of Dhoke Nadir Ali, informed a police spokesman on Tuesday. After committing the crime, the accused identified as Muhammad Waqas has thrown the body of his wife in a deserted place. Some villagers alerted police about the presence of the body following which a team of investigators of Police Station Jatli rushed to the scene and moved the body to hospital for autopsy. The deceased has been identified as Arifa Waqas, he added.

City Police Officer Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari also took notice of the brutal murder of a woman and sought report from SP Saddar Division Ahmed Zunair Cheema.
“It has proved during preliminary investigation that the couple often engaged in brawls in the house,” said DSP Gujar Khan Circle Syed Tahir Abbas Kazmi, who visited the crime scene along with experts of Forensic Lab and HIU. He said he murdered his wife and threw her body in a deserted place and ran away. He said Umer and Adnan are the facilitators of the killer to whom police are trying to arrest. A murder case has been registered against the accused while further investigation was underway, he added.
