VEHARI: A man in sprinkled kerosene oil on a woman and allegedly set her alight here on Tuesday. According to police, accused identified as Shaukat allegedly poured kerosene oil on a woman, who is married to another man, and set her on fire in Union Council No-1 area of Vehari.
The locals transported her to THQ Hospital where doctors told that she had received third degree burns and was in critical condition. Later, the victim was shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan.
Police informed that the accused was arrested who confessed to his crime. The sources told that Shaukat allegedly had secret ties with the woman. Further investigation of the incident is underway.
