SUKKUR: A man killed his brother’s wife over the pretext of karo-kari in Nooro Khoso village in the jurisdiction of Risaldar police station, Kashmore district on Thursday.

Accused Abdul Sattar Jakhrani opened fire on Mst Rahamdi, 20, wife of his brother Abdul Majeed Jakhrani on suspicions that she was nurturing illicit relations with a youth of the area.

The accused fled from the scene after committing the crime.

Police shifted the body of deceased to Kandhkot hospital for post-mortem after which it was handed over to the relatives.

Risaldar police, on the complaint of deceased woman’s father, Kumbhar, registered an FIR against Abdul Sattar Jakhrani and his brother Alif Jakhrani.

Alif Jakhrani was arrested while police were searching for Abdul Sattar Jakhrani, nominated in the FIR.
