Man kills wife over ‘honour’

DERA MURAD JAMALI: A woman was gunned down and a man injured by her husband in a suspected honour-related case in the Notal area of Nasirabad district on Thursday.

According to the police, Zahoor Ahmed Bugti opened fire on his wife and her friend Faqira Bhan­gar in Goth Dad Mohammad Bugti. Ms Hanifa died while Mr Bhangar sustained injuries and was admitted to the district hospital. The suspect was arrested along with a pistol, police said.

Meanwhile, two people suf­fered injuries in the Ma­wand area of Kohlu district when their tractor hit a landmine.
