KHAIRPUR: A man killed his wife when she refused to give him permission for the second marriage, near here on Sunday.
According to details, accused Abdul Karim Rind gunned down his wife Hakimzadi at village Bugro in the jurisdiction of C-Section Police Station, when she refused to give him permission to marry a second wife.
Police handed the body to her relatives after autopsy from the Civil Hospital Khairpur. However, the accused managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime.
Meanwhile, a woman died and six other people were injured when a coach hit a rickshaw on Indus Highway near Mehar.
The deceased was identified as Zareena Qambrani and injured as Ramzan Qambrani, Kareemat, Nusrat and three children Soraj, Sakhawat and Nadir. The injured were rushed to local hospital from where three precariously injured, Ramzan, Kareemat and Nusrat, were shifted to Chandka Medical College Hospital Larkana.
The coach driver fled leaving his vehicle on the spot.
