Man ‘kills’ wife

CIIAKWAL: A husband killed her wife at Gulistan Town with in the limits of City Police Station Chakwal on Monday. The de¬ceased, Naheed Kanwal, daugh¬ter of Gulistan Khan, married with Mehr Khan and it was the second marriage of both.

The couple had some domestic problem. Khurram Shahzad Advocate, brother of Naheed Kanw¬al, went to the house of his sister and found her critically injured while her husband Mehar Khan was standing near the dead body.

She was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Chakwal but she succumbed to the injuries. The petitioner told that his sister was murdered by Mehr Khan and his son Zahid.

Police after autopsy of the dead body registered a murder case against Mehar Khan and his son Zahid Khan and started investigation.

Meanwhile, two brothers were booked by City Police Chakw~) as they were constructing a building at Jhelum Road Chakwal without having site plan approved from TMA Chakwal. Gulzar Akhtar of TMA Chakwal told the police that Raja Faheem and his brother Raja Naeem was con¬structing a commercial mar¬ket without obtaining the site plan.

They were asked to stop the construction but they were reluctant to do so. Police registered a case under Pun¬jab Local Bodies Ordinance and started investigation.

Separately, Saddar Police Chakwal in four different op¬erations recovered six bottles of liquor and illegal arms from the four accused. Police arrestedo person from Choa Saiden Shah Chowk and re¬covered two bottles of liquor from him.
